I Have Treasures on the Margin project includes recordings of found objects, plants, and performances in the valley through walks in Dikmen Valley. This study presents a research workshop that collects and records materials from human activities and examines plants in the uncontrolled area. It brings together several objects and visual notes related to the recent past of Dikmen Valley, located in the center of Ankara, that will activate the participants' own memories. I Have Treasures on the Margin invites you to witness an ongoing walking process, to meet the audience with original observations of space and time, and to participate in planned walks.

I Have Treasures on the Margin offers to share the experience of a process that is different from regular exhibitions. The walks that start by creating a route in Dikmen valley are explored as a performative and conceptual experience of mobility and memory. During the performances and walking action in the valley, traces of the flora and human activity of the valley were traced. In this exhibition, which is designed as an open workshop, there are various objects, photographs, videos and a research desk to share experiences in the space. Gümgüm invites you to an area where mobility can be observed by sharing the research process. Thus, it aims to transform the audience into a part of the research.

While Ankara's efforts and activities to create a political and administrative center, which it focused on in the modern urbanization process, signify the center of the city, starting with the rise of global capitalism in the 1980s, it spread rapidly from the center to the peripheries by gaining great momentum. The city has evolved into a megalo-city that swallows the extra-urban areas; it has changed and transformed. Dikmen Village, which is located in the center of Ankara, was evacuated with urban transformation plans. Multi-storey buildings were built in the neighbourhood, and the valley was turned into a recreational park. After the three stages of the Dikmen Valley Project has been completed, there emerged an untouched area which evaded the control of the authority. The " I Have Treasures on the Margin project intends to create awareness of changing climatic and natural conditions in the city, which has managed to escape control. The places such as parks, gardens, roadsides, in public or private areas in Ankara, where the flora and fauna are constantly limited with fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals, the uncontrolled areas create their own temporary autonomous zone. The project aims to draw attention to the changes in the dynamics of the city, to the areas and living things that can survive by adapting, and to create a social, political and ecological discussion about the right to the city on the axis of urbanization.

Even though slum settlements have been demolished and houses and parks have been built in their place since the end of the 1990s in Dikmen Valley, it still has an area that has escaped this pressure and its influence as much as possible. Although the life cycle has been affected by the negative traces of the urbanization process and global climate change, in the valley line, it continues to host much biodiversity and interesting things that do not exist in other parts of the city. This research, which focuses on urbanization and ecological issues, presents a path from the center of the city to its periphery. It invites us to witness the intervention of rapid urbanization in settlements, green areas and gardens of the city.
